5/14/23: Storytelling through Garment | 2pm

HOSTED BY the ghostlight stage company

Join the Ghostlight Stage Company as we present our very first educational workshop, "Storytelling through Garment with Eliana Batsakis." Eliana was most recently seen competing on Netflix' Next in Fashion Season 2! This fun educational workshop explores how to tell a story through costume and fashion design. Students will be taken through a history lesson with Eliana highlighting famous story-telling fashion & costume designers, do some sketching of their own inspired by a new story they create together, and take home some sample materials for future inspiration. Additionally, there will be a Q&A session at the end of the workshop where Eliana will answer questions about her design process, her time on Next in Fashion, and more.

*Free event. Recommended for teens ages 15-19. All are welcome! Registration highly encouraged, though not required. Register HERE.

About the Company:

The Ghostlight Stage Company is a brand new nonprofit theater company and arts organization in the Greater Cincinnati area. The Ghostlight Stage Company is just as the name suggests. Similarly to how a Ghostlight in a theater is a constant reliable source of light at all times regardless of if the theater is open or not, we hope to be that for our community of artists and our patrons alike. With a commitment of always hiring 80% of all teams for any given project to be made up of local Greater Cincinnati professional artists, we are a company for the community BY the community. We believe in accessible, affordable art for all to enjoy, mentoring and fostering young talent, and inclusive storytelling ranging from reinventing old classics for the modern audience to cutting edge new works by Cincinnati playwrights.
